My Sweet Journey: From Le Cordon Bleu to Art Bakery & Gourmet
Hello, dear readers! I’m Tanya Novak, and I’m thrilled to share my sweet journey with you. It all began with a dream and a passion for creating delightful pastries that bring joy to people’s lives.
My culinary adventure started at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary school, where I immersed myself in the art of pastry making. The experience was nothing short of magical, and it laid the foundation for my career. I was fortunate to learn from some of the best French pastry chefs, whose expertise and dedication inspired me to constantly strive for perfection.
After graduating, I had the incredible opportunity to train at J’AIME by Jean-Michel Lorain, a Michelin Star restaurant in Bangkok. This experience was a game-changer, as it allowed me to hone my skills in a high-pressure, professional environment. Working alongside talented chefs at Maxim’s restaurant further enriched my journey, pushing me to explore new techniques and flavors.
My quest for knowledge didn’t stop there. I attended the Callebaut Chocolate Academyin Belgium, where I delved into the world of chocolate, learning the intricacies of this beloved ingredient. Participating in multiple pastry training programs and competitions across the globe helped me refine my craft and stay updated with the latest trends in the pastry world.
Eventually, my passion for teaching led me to become a pastry instructor, sharing my knowledge and skills with aspiring chefs in countries like China, Thailand, Austria, Poland, Spain, Romania, and Germany. It was incredibly rewarding to see my students grow and succeed in their culinary endeavors.
Today, I am proud to run Art Bakery & Gourmet in the beautiful city of Marbella, Spain. In less than two years, our bakery has achieved remarkable success, being recognized as one of the top 10 most beautiful cafes in Spain and one of the best breakfast spots on the Costa del Sol. This journey has been filled with hard work, dedication, and a lot of love for what I do.
